How-To Enable or Disable Link Tracking

Link tracking records clicks on your ClickWhale links. This feature helps you understand how users interact with your content and how your links perform.

ClickWhale enables link tracking by default because it provides important performance data. The collected data appears in the Statistics tab of the plugin.

You can disable tracking if you do not want ClickWhale to record link clicks.

Before you begin, make sure that:

You have administrator access to the WordPress dashboard

Where to Enable or Disable Link Tracking #

You can control link tracking from the ClickWhale settings page.

Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
Navigate to ClickWhale > Settings.
Open the Tracking tab.
Locate the Disable Tracking option.

Enable Link Tracking #

Link tracking remains active when the Disable Tracking option is turned off.

Steps

Go to ClickWhale > Settings.
Open the Tracking tab.
Make sure the Disable Tracking option is not enabled or unchecked.
Save your settings if changes were made.

Once enabled, ClickWhale will record every click on your links.

Disable Link Tracking #

If you disable tracking, ClickWhale will stop recording clicks for your links.

Steps

Go to ClickWhale > Settings.
Open the Tracking tab.
Enable the Disable Tracking option by ticking the checkbox.
Save your settings.

After disabling this feature, the plugin will no longer record click activity.

Where to View Link Click Data #

To view your click data:

Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
Navigate to ClickWhale > Statistics.

Here you can review the performance of your tracked links.

How Link Tracking Works #

When a visitor clicks a ClickWhale link, the plugin records the click automatically. These clicks appear in the Statistics tab of the ClickWhale dashboard.

The statistics help you understand how your links perform and how users interact with your content.
