Installing ClickWhale is quick and easy. Follow the steps below to download the ClickWhale plugin, install it on your WordPress website, and complete the initial setup.
Step 1: Visit the Download Page #
Go to the Pricing page on the ClickWhale website and click Download Now under the Free plan.
This will take you to the ClickWhale download page.
Step 2: Request the Download #
Scroll to the bottom of the download page.
Enter your email address and click Download For FREE.
We’ll send you a confirmation email. Click the confirmation link in the email to open the ClickWhale download page.
Step 3: Confirm Your Email Address #
Open the confirmation email from the ClickWhale Team and click Click to Confirm Your Email Address.
You’ll be redirected to the ClickWhale download page.
Step 4: Download the Plugin #
On the download page, click Start Download Now.
Your browser will download the ClickWhale plugin as a ZIP file. Keep the ZIP file for the next step.
Note: You don’t have to extract the ZIP file.
Step 5: Upload the Plugin to WordPress #
Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
Navigate to Plugins and click Add New Plugin.
Then click Upload Plugin
Click Choose File, select the downloaded ClickWhale ZIP file, and click Install Now.
Step 6: Activate ClickWhale #
Once the installation is complete, click Activate Plugin.
ClickWhale has been successfully installed.
Step 7: Complete the Initial Setup #
After activation, click ClickWhale in the WordPress dashboard menu.
Click Allow & Continue to receive important updates and share basic WordPress environment information, or click Skip to continue without sharing this information.
You’re All Set!
ClickWhale is now installed and ready to use.
You can now create and manage Links, Smart Displays, Link Pages, Tracking Codes, and other ClickWhale features from your WordPress dashboard.
FAQs #
I didn’t receive the confirmation email. What should I do?
First, check your Spam or Junk folder. If you still can’t find the email, wait a few minutes and request the download again using the same email address. Make sure the email address was entered correctly.
The confirmation link doesn’t work.
If the confirmation link has expired or is no longer valid, simply request a new download from the ClickWhale download page to receive a new confirmation email.
Where is the plugin downloaded?
After clicking Start Download Now, your browser will download the ClickWhale plugin as a ZIP file. You can usually find it in your browser’s default Downloads folder.
Should I extract the ZIP file before uploading it to WordPress?
No. Upload the ZIP file exactly as it was downloaded. WordPress will extract and install the plugin automatically.
Why can’t I upload the plugin to WordPress?
Make sure you are uploading the original ClickWhale ZIP file and that your WordPress account has permission to install plugins. If you use WordPress.com, your current plan must support plugin installation. If the upload still fails, contact your hosting provider or our support team.
Can I install ClickWhale on multiple websites?
Yes. You can install the free version of ClickWhale on unlimited websites. ClickWhale Pro licenses have separate website activation limits based on the selected plan.
How do I update ClickWhale?
When a new version is available, you can update ClickWhale directly from your WordPress dashboard, just like any other plugin.
